About the Skull and Sword artwork:

The Skull & Sword design of the Rodriguez signature deck was the inaugural graphic created by Powell-Peralta. The concept was crafted by Ray and illustrated by V.C. Johnson, under the direction of industry expert George Powell, in 1979.

Originally, the skateboard was offered in two unique shapes, including a 10" x 30" "Widetail" version and a 10" x 28.5" "Snub Nose." It was originally available in bold "Brite-Lite" colors such as yellow, orange, purple, and green. Over time, new color options were introduced and the classic Ray's signature was replaced with a Powell-Peralta script logo in 1983. The iconic design was also featured on T-shirts and stickers.

Featuring Vernon Courtlandt Johnson's artwork, this Indigo Blue Powell Peralta Tee boasts a large back graphic and small left chest graphic, both expertly screen printed. Made of 100% soft spun cotton jersey, it also includes a screen printed inside label and has been preshrunk for a standard adult fit.
